Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S Intek carb is not adjustable, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
Thanks in advance for any help. My Husqvarna mower with a 24hp twin cylinder Briggs & Stratton engine @ 95 hours on it will only run with the choke engaged, even after warm up. Seems the carb has factory settings and is not adjustable. The engine dies as soon as the choke is pushed back in. Runs perfect with the choke pulled out.

Answer
When you run on full choke you are restricting the air flow and running the engine very rich.  The question is why.  Did it run ok for the 95 hours?  What changed.  Go backwards in the things you did between running ok and not. Check the mounting bolts on the carb.

Carb setting screws are not the answer.  Check the throttle linkage.   When the throttle is in the wide open position without the engine running?  It should be.  The governor controls it after the engine starts.
What happens if you try to start it with the air filter and air filter off?  If none of these it has to be a restricted fuel flow somewhere between the tank and the Venturi.  Check the vent in the fuel cap too.
