Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Echo SRM-200DA, rotary corp, rotary web

Question
I read in an answer to a previous question about a SRM-200DB, that you recommended using Rotary Corp. part # 8786 (Nova ll) to replace the existing Echo ignition.  I have an SRM-200DA which has the same Echo ignition part numbers and should also use the same Rotary solid state ignition.  I went to the Rotary web site to research the parts and under part number 8786, it states that it replaces STENS 440-465 and SUNBELT B1SB8786 but not any Echo parts.  Is this the correct ignition for the Echo SRM-200DA and SRM-200DB?  Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hello Jerry:

According to the Breakdown of this Unit, a Nova ll will Operate in Place of the Point Set on this Trimmer. I Use the Nova ll to Replace the Point Set on Older Units. It is Attached to the Outside of the Engine and the Old Point Set does Not have to be Removed from the Engine. Just Use the Instruction Sheet Enclosed with the Nova Unit and you should have the Unit Firing at the Plug within a Few Minutes. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model and Type Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
