Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Troy Bilt Trimmer Head, universal head, troy bilt

Hey John:  You answered this question some time ago and I'm trying to install the same universal head.  I followed your previous advice about the hole in the gear box but I can't locate anything inside in which to insert the allen wrench.  I can't find any other hole to help me remove the original trimmer head.  Any help would really be appreciated.

Hello Again Kerry:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.buymtdonline.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Home_YardMan_10101_19502_-... and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Troy Bilt)  and Enter the Model Numbers (41BDT25C063). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View.  If you have the Design Shown for the Model Trimmer Above, then a Universal Head will Not Fit this Unit. This is a Money Thing the OEMs have Come up with to Require Owners of Some Model Trimmers to Purchase Replacement Parts from the OEM Only. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps.
