HARMONY WHILE I CAMP.OTHER PEOPLE USE HONDA GENERATORS WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP?!

Answer
To me this is more of a question for Honda's experts at the manufactures level. Unless the muffler is defective then it's about as quiet as it's going to get at any throttle position. Others that have a Honda generator may not have one as big as yours, and be less noisy. The muffler and exhaust system is not just designed with noise in mind, it also must provide the exact amount of back pressure for the engine to operate to optimum levels. If the exhaust of muffler becomes modified it could not only compromise engine efficiency, but also do engine damage. I'm not saying it can not be done it just needs to the correct way, recommended by Honda, if in fact it can even be done.......let me know...Tom
