Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi 790R Fuel filter, needle nose pliers, ryobi trimmers

Question
Hi John,
I saw that you had answered some questions about the Ryobi trimmers before, so I thought I would shoot you this one. I am replacing the Fuel filter on my Ryobi and I cant seem to get my fat fingers into the tank far enougth to slide it in. Any suggestions?

thanks

Answer
Hello Joel:

Disconnect the Fuel Line from the Carburetor. Use Needle Nose Pliers and Grab the Fuel Line in the Tank, just Behind the Filter and Pull the Line and Filter Out the Fill Port of the Tank. **Be Careful and Do Not Pull the Line from the Port that Leads to the Carburetor.** Replace the Filter and then Pull the Fuel Line from the Other End of the Tank and Connect the Fuel Line Back to the Carburetor. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
