Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wiring a Replacement Lawn Mower Engine, murray lawn tractor, vertical engine

Question
Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wiring a Replacement Lawn Mower Engine, murray lawn tractor, vertical engine
Wiring Harness
I purchased a replacement Tecumseh (OV490EA 208042) vertical engine for my Murray Lawn Tractor (42567x6A).  The replacement engine has a slightly different wiring set-up than my original Tecumseh engine (OHV17 204603A).  What do I connect to the stator wiring.  There are (2) yellow wires coming from the stator to a voltage regulator.  From the regulator a red wire is available to connect (assuming this is for the dc connection) to the black/white wire plug from the Murray starter switch.  My original electrical schematic shows a red dc output & a black ac output from the stator to the black/white wire plug.  The new voltage regulator only has a dc output available (without directly attaching the ac wiring to the connector on the voltage regulator.  My second problem is what do I connect the green lead coming off of the armature on the new engine?  Finally, there is a red lead coming from the afterfire solenoid.  Can this be connected to the yellow lead (available) that is part of the safety circuit on the Murray mower?
