Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): v-belt, briggs and straton, john bridgers

Question
Hello John Bridgers Jr.,  I own a Craftsman 20 hp Twin Intek Briggs and Straton riding mower model #917.272130 and I need to replace the primary drive belt #148763. .  I read from an earlier response that this belt could be replaced by an industrial type belt that would work better and may cost less than Sears price of $37.47 plus S&H.   Could you tell me the correct length and width belt I should get for a replacement.   Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hello Paul:

According to the Belt Cross Reference for a Sear #148763 V-Belt, the Size is 85.75in (85 3/4") Long and is .625 (5/8") Wide. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck

John
