Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 16.5 kohler command engine, switch problem, safety switch

this lawn mower was running last summer , i went out to get it ready for grass cutting an it will not start i did some troubleshooting im not getting fire at the plug can you help please,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks so much,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Most likely a safety switch is causing the problem. If you remove the top engine shroud you should have access to the igntion coil.  Dis-connect the small wire connected to the coil.  Check for spark.  If you have spark the coil is fine and you know you have a safety switch problem.
