Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Trimmer Head falls off, hollow shaft, rivits

Question
I just got a well used Stihl fs45 trimmer.  Runs great, but recieved with the trimmer head, shield, and other misc. parts needed to use trimmer head.  Bought a new trimmer head assembly and replaced the gaurd. now the male end that presses into the drive cable inside the hollow shaft just falls out (with the trimmer head assembly still attaced). got any ideas what I need to do to fix this problem or what clip or fitting is missing?

Hope I am describing the situation well enough, but thanks for your help.

Answer
Hello Kim:

Some Trimmers have the Gear Box (the Piece that Attaches to the Trimmer Tube at the Trimmer Head Attached with Short Screws and Other Trimmers have them Attached with Rivits. If there are No Holes for Rivits/Screws, then this is a Press Fit and the Tube is Bad. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
