Answer
Hello Nick:

I Could Not Locate a Breakdown Using the Model Numbers you Provided. However, here are the Instructions for a Standard Recoil Starter Spring and Rope Replace. **If the Rope or Spring have Broken, then Remove the Blower Housing (metal engine cover and recoil Starter). Remove the Old Rope from the Recoil Pulley. Remove the Pulley Retaining Blocks or Bend the Retaining Ears Up so the Pulley can be Removed from the Starter Housing. Remove the Old Spring. Allow the New Spring to Lay Straight and Insert One End Into the Slot (usually near the Hole the Rope Exits the Housing) of the Recoil Housing. Attach the Pulley to the Spring and Carefully Insert the Pulley (with Spring Attached) Into the Starter Housing (blower housing) and Replace the Pulley Retainer Tabs or Bend the Tabs Back Into Place. Now Turn the Pulley in the Same Direction the Pulley Turns when Pulling the Rope. The Spring will Feed Into the Housing. Once you are Close to the Outer End of the Spring, Use Pliers and Hold the End of the Spring and Guide it Into the Lock of the Slot. Now Continue to Turn the Pulley in the Same Direction that the Pulley would Turn if the Rope was Turning it. Once the Pulley will Turn No More, then Reverse Direction 1 or 2 Turns and Thread the New Rope Through the Hole in the Center of the Pulley and Out the Hole in the Blower Housing. Pull the Rope Through Until it is Tight Against the Pulley. Now Tie a Slip Knot in the Rope to Hold the Pulley in Place While the Handle is Attached to the Rope. Once the Handle is Attached, Release the Slip Knot and the Rope Should Retract Into the Housing. Reassemble the Blower Housing Onto the Engine.**  To View a Breakdown of this Unit Go to this Site Addy, http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Search.
