Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cub cadet, drive pulley, select shop

Question
Sir thanks in advance. I have a cub 1529 sn 1c2b3h20171 kaw 19hp trying to change out drive belt it snapped .I got the clutch assy. out ok but not the drive pulley is rusted to shaft have sprayed with p-b blaster got a 3 jaw pulley on it and still wont budge any suggestion as to how to remove?

Answer
Hello Dave:

Apply Heat to the Center of the Pulley. Sometimes a Pulley will be Damaged when Removed for the First Time and the Pulley has to be Replaced with a New Pulley. When Replacing the Pulley, Use Never Seize on the Inside of the Pulley and on the Shaft you are Placing the Pulley onto. The Never Seize Helps to Prevent the Rust and Hard to Remove Problem when the Pulley has to be Removed the Next Time. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.jacobisalespartslookup.com/home.asp and Select the Cub Cadet Logo. Now Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Now Select the OEM ( Cub Cadet) and Select the Model Tab. Then Enter the Model Numbers and Click Search. Then Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. Then Select Sectional View. Then Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
