Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): poulan gas edger, sears craftsman, walbro carburetor

Question
Edger Is a poulan model 530-038297 which looks like a craftsman mosel number. I cant find any poulan sites or craftsman which has pdf files so i can see which gas lines go where. There are two, one small one a little larger but both ports are same size on carb. engine will not start unless all gas is out and then only with starter fluid. when gas is put in engine floods out and wont start again. when plug is out and engine is cranked gas pours out sparkplug hole.

Answer
Hello John:

These are Sears Model Numbers and the Saw is a Poulan. I have Checked All the Sites I Use and Even Checked the Microfiche and Could Not Locate this Model. Is it Possible you Misread a Number? It Happens as I Know All to Well. LOL. Usually the Inlet Port is the Larger Line and the Return is the Smaller Line. I Require the OEM (Walbro, Zama, ect) and the Model Numbers Off the Carburetor. With these I can Locate a Breakdown of the Carburetor and Better Assist you. If by Chance this is a Walbro Carburetor, then You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Carburetor at this Site Addy, http://69.16.165.8/ and Select Service & Aftermarket. Now Select Aftermarket Parts and Service. Now Select the OEM (Sears/Craftsman). Now Select Trimmer. Now Select your Carburetor from the List Provided. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
