Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro trimmer head, allen wrench, snag

Question
How do I remove the head on a toro 575 ss trimmer?  I want to put an easy loading head on, and have the whole thing apart except cannot remove the head?

Answer
Hello Monte:

Most Trimmer Heads are Screwed Onto the Gear Box. There should be a Hole Between the Gear Box and the Trimmer Head that will Line Up with a Hole in the Gear Box Connection. Use an Allen Wrench that is as Close to Possible as the Diameter of this Hole and Insert it Into the Holes when they are Aligned. This Locks the Gear Box and Prevents it from Turning while you are Removing the Old Trimmer Head. Now Turn the Trimmer Head in the Same Direction that the Trimmer Head Turns During Operation to Remove the Old Head. Install the New Head and you should be Ready to Go. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
