Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Echo trimmer igntion, rotary corp, echo trimmer

Question
I have an old Echo Srm 200db trimmer. Its in good shape but needs ignition parts, that are not available and obsolete. Can this be converted to electronic ignition? Or can point,etc. be used from another model?

Yes there is a Solid State Ign Module to Replace the Point Set. Rotary Corp Sells a Solid State Ign Module that will Replace the Point Set. The Rotary Part Number is 8786 (Nova ll). Most Small Engine Service Centers Deal with Rotary and can Order the Solid State Ign Module for you. Rotary Corp Sells to Dealers Only. If the Unit is Shutting Down Once it Gets Hot and Starts Once Cool, then As Soon as it Quits, Check the Plug for Fire. Usually this is a Sign of the Ign Module/Coil (or in your Case the Condenser of the Point Set is Heating Up) Heating Up and Failing to Fire the Plug Until Cool. Thanks for the Comments and Ratings.
