Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Walk Behind Lawnmower, new shaft, arinet

Question
I have a Honda HRT216ST that has a torqued crankshaft (one-on-one with a stump).  It is beyond economical repair through a shop, but I thought of doing it myself with a new shaft ($50 vs $300+).  I've overhauled car engines, but thought I would defer to the expert on the best way to proceed prior to turning a wrench.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello David:

It is Almost like Rebuilding an Automotive Engine, Only Simpler. I Suggest you Purchase a Service Manual for your Engine. The Rebuild Seems Simple to me, but I have Been Rebuilding and Servicing Small Engines for Over 30yrs. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Then Select Either the Mower or Engine File. Then Select your Engine or Mower from the List Provided. If During the Rebuild you have a Specificate Question; I will be More than Happy to Answer it for you. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
