Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Troy Bilt clutch drum, clutch assembly, torx screw

Question
I have a Troy Bilt TB90BC. It appears that the clutch went out on it. I checked to see if the shaft was broke and all the ends are good. How do you get the drum off? I looked at the schematic and it doesn’t shoe a screw in the end of the drum like some others do. Also can you tell me how to get the clutch assembly off? Thanks Ron

Answer
Hello Ron:

There is a Torx Screw Down in the Recess of the Drum that the Drive Cable goes Into. This Screw is Not Shown in Any Breakdowns/IPLs that I have Seen, either Online or on the Microfiche. Go to this Site Addy, http://www.jackssmallengines.net/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab and Enter the OEM (Troy Bilt)and the Model Numbers. Now Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
