Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Rototiller, rear tine, tilled soil

Question
Hi John,

I am in the market for a rototiller. Can you please tell me the difference between counter rotating tines, and dual rotating tines? Which is better and why? And finally, do you think it is worth spending the extra $140 on the dual rotating tines? (We have a very large garden area.) Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Chris:

The Dual Rotating Tines will Give you a Finer Grade of Tilled Soil. I have Used All Types of Tillers and I Prefer the Rear Tine  Counter Rotation Tillers. If the Ground Speed is Set Properly, All you have to Do is Walk with the Tiller and Guide it. No Bouncing and Jerking and the Grade of Soil is Iseal for Planting. Make Sure you Read the Instruction Manual and Understand How to Set the Ground Speed and Tine Depth. I Hope this Helps. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Till Next Time. Be Safe and have a Happy Life.

Respectfully

John
