Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): k662 kohler engine, spec numbers, kohler engine

Question
QUESTION: We are trying to start a k662 kohler engine, we don't know how old the engine is. We have fire going from the coil to the magnato/distributor(has points) but no fire going out to the plugs, the engine is a two cylinder. If I have not given enough information please feel free to ask for more information.

ANSWER: Hello Tommy:

Have you Cleaned the Point Set Contacts with Emory Cloth Snad Paper or a Finger Nail File. Make Sure the Point Set is Getting a Good Ground. Disconnect the Condensor (if Possible) and Check for Fire. If the Condensor is Bad the Point Set Can Not Fire. Send me the Spec Numbers and I can Locate the Proper Engine Manual, Please. With these I can Better Assist you. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.kohlerplus.com/login.asp and Select Enter as Guest. Now Select the Thumbnail of the Catalog you Wish to View. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
