Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wont start, speedaire air compressor, mc usn

Question
I'm having trouble getting my kohler 12.5 command to start. I've read the directions and put oil, gas, checked the spark plug, I did have a question about the ground, it says that I have to put it on the mounting. I have also tried charging it. It won't turn over or just click. Anything will be helpful. By the way its a speedaire air compressor.

kill switch is stopping the engine from allowing it to start.
Look for a stop switch coming from the stator look at the flywheel that is where the kill wire comes from what happens is that the engine gets shorted to ground and that prevents it from starting. Be aware that if you disconnect the wire and it starts the only way to shut it off is to short out that wire to ground or choke the hell out of it.
