Answer
Hello Greg:

The Only Reasons for 2 Gaskets at Any Carburetor Joint is: 1- a Warped Mating Surface Causing a Vaccum Leak and it is Sealed by Using 2 Gaskets Instead of 1. 2- Someone Could have Put a New Gasket Over the Old One. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
