Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Plow Attachment Cub Cadet LT1045, cub cadet mower, dozer blade

I recently bought the correct plow attachment for the LT1045 cub cadet mower.  I am trying to attach it but it appears the muffler is in the way.  There are brackers to mount to the side of a mower, but they don't line up for the Cub Cadet as it looks like it should work as a quick attach.  Do you have any idea on what would be needed to attach the plow to the front of the mower?

You can View a Breakdown of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsales.com/home.asp and Select Shop Online, Parts and Accessories. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Cub Cadet) and Enter the Proper Model Numbers (Usually Located Under the Seat). Then Double Click on your Model. Now Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Select the Attachments File. Then Select the Dozer Blade File. You can See All the Components that are Required to Attach the Blade to your Mower. You May have to Change the Muffler for the Blade Attachment to Connect Correctly. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps.
