Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): zerk fitting, craftsman snow thrower, shear bolts

Question
I want to purchase a grease gun so that I can properly maintain my Craftsman snow thrower.  The manual does not specify what size attachment I need for the zerk fittings.  There were so many different sizes at the hardware store that I walked out without purchasing anything.  Any suggestions on how I can determine the size?  The model number is 536887751.  I need to replace the shear bolts on the auger assembly and the manual recommends greasing at this time.

Answer
Hello Jamey:

The Size of the Zerk Fitting is Referring to the Size of the Threaded Area, Not the Fitting Itself. A Standard Grease Gun is All that is Required. The Only Different Zerk Fittings are Special Application Zerks and they are Used on Chainsaw Bar Tips and Some Special Application Automotive Parts. To View a Breakdown of this Unit Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
