Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki 9hp overflow, john deere rx75 riding mower, john deere rx75

Question
QUESTION: I have a John Deere RX75 riding mower with a 9HP Kawasaki engine.  The float got stuck in the carburetor after mowing a bumpy lawn.  The engine then filled with fuel. I've changed the oil several times and it still smokes heavily.  Do you think a rebuild is in order?  I was wondering if it blew out the valve seals.  Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: Hello Stephen:

From your Description it Sounds like the Crankcase Breather/Vent Requires Cleaning. If the Contaminated Oil Flooded the Crankcase Breather/Vent, it Sometimes Causes the Breather/Vent to Not Operate Properly and the Engine will Continue to Smoke After the Contaminated Crankcase Oil has been Changed. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

QUESTION: I apologize that I forgot that information in the previous question.  The model number is FC290-AS02 and the Serial is FC290-017057.  I hope this helps.  I really appreciate your help.  It is invaluable.

Answer
Hello Again Stephen:

No Worries. Most People Forget to Send the Numbers I Require or they Send the Wrong Numbers, so I Just Ask for them. You Need to Check the Head Gasket. If the Head Gasket has Blown Between the Cylinder and the Valve Push Tube Galley, the Engine will Continue to Smoke. This Happens to Most Small OHV Engines when the Crankcase is Overfilled by Accident or when Overfilled by the Gas Contamination you Described. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.buykawpower.com/kmcb2c/main.jsp and Select View Parts Catalog. Then Select Either 2 Cycle or 4 Cycle Engines. Yours is a 4 Cycle Engine. Then Select the FC290V-S04 Engine. I Could Not Locate a Breakdown Online for the FC290-AS02 Engine, but Looking the the Microfiche of the FC290-AS02 and the Online Breakdown of the FC290V-S04 Engine; The Online Breakdown is Close Enough to Use for a Guide in Making the Repairs. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
