Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snow thrower gearcase parts, output shaft, input shaft

John, I have a SEARS model #536.882502 (22" 5h.p.)snow thrower that needs a new auger shaft, worm and worm gear. Sears no longer sells these parts and I've had no luck on the net. I'm also seeking who the original manufacturer is? Thanks; Andy.

Hello Andy:

I Looked at this Unit at the Sears Site and it has a Murray Part Number (51405MA) for the Worm Gear. The Auger Input Shaft is Part Number 55383. The Auger Output Shaft is Part Number 51408. According to the Site, these are Avaliable. However, in Case they are Not; I did Locate the Worm Gear for $41.49 at the Outdoor Distributors Site. Resubmitt this Question in a Few Days. I will Research this and Hopefully have an Answer by Monday or Tuesday. Thanks.
