Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD Snowblower Model Numbers, drive wheels, model numbers

QUESTION: Hi John - I have an older MTD Snowflite snowblower that has developed a problem where only one of the drive wheels seems to be engaging. I would like to find a parts diagram, and get your advice as to how I should proceed. The plate affixed to the rear of the frame contains the following series of letters and numbers... 310 800a H109b. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. If the Breakdown is Not at this Site, then Let me Know, Please. I will then Locate a Breakdown from Another Source. QUESTION: Hi John - The site that you suggested does not recognize the model number of my machine - 310 800a H109b. I really need to find an repair manual or any type of information that might help me to complete the repair. It's tough to use the machine with only one wheel driving....

I Just Looked these Numbers Up in my Microfiche and Online at MTD and Did Not Locate Any Information. I will Contact MTD on 1/7/08 and then Follow up to you on that Day with Any Information I get. You can Try this Model Number and See if it has the Same Drive as Yours; 310-840-000. You Might be Able to Purchase a Repair Manual from Outdoor Distributors @ 1-877-707-2787. Thanks.
