Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower gas leak, sears craftsman, gas leak

Question
I have a Sears Craftsman 24"/6.0 snowblower that is 2 years old.  I have it stored in the garage and it started up quickly.  But, the problem is that right after this I noticed a gas leak that flowed out of it.  It was not overfilled with gas.

Answer
The most common problem is a leaking inlet needle/seat and/or a bad float.

Google "Tecumseh carburetor rebuild" or "maintenance" and you will find several sites on repairing the carburetor.
