Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas in oil, carburetor problems, crankcase

Question
I have a Honda 13 hp G390 that the gas is getting into crankcase.Iknow that the shut-off needs to be off during transporting , but it should be ok to leave it on while it is setting in the shop.No gas is leaking on the out side of the carb. which means the float on the carb. is ok ? I took spark plug out and there was gas on top of piston. The boss said the float is bad but i don't think so because no gas on outside of carb. Thanks for your help.

Not actually true sometimes the float will stick sometimes it wont when fuel get into the oil it is one or 2 reasons
The float controls the gas level in the carburetor.  If any of these signs occur, the carburetor is overflowing out of your air filter or out of your primer.  If you have gas in your oil, you have carburetor problems.  NOTE:  Drain the oil if there is gas in it, if you don’t it can be dangerous.  You need to check the needle & seat to see if it has trash or is bad.  Is your float bad?  To check the float pull the pin that holds your float in place, shake the float and if there is fluid inside of the float, replace it.  Don’t forget to set the float level.
