Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tecumseh, crankcase breather, vertical shaft

QUESTION: I have a 11hp Tecumseh vertical shaft motor on my tractor and  the crankcase breather broke off on me and I was wondering if it is possible for me to run it without the breather? If not where could i get one?

With the Crankcase Breather Broken, Pressure Builds Up Inside the Crankcase and Causes the Engine to Burn Oil and Leak Oil Out the Muffler and in Some Cases Leak Oil from the Seals. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers. Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have 2 PDF Site Addys that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf. You can Purchase a New Crankcase Breather from your Local Small Engine Service Center or Online from Outdoor Distributors @ http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ (1-800-877-2787). QUESTION: The site "http://www.outdoordistributors.com/" does not have the parts guide for the engine that i have. This is the full engine number on the front of the engine: VM100 57051 5ER 0303D. Any other suggestions of sites to find part?

I Checked the Model Number Through Tecumseh. None was Listed. Is it Possible that the Specification Numbers are 157051? If Yes, then Outdoor Distributors has a Breakdown.
