Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): spark plug wire routing, 6 digits, 4 digits

Question
I have a ariens st504 with a 5 hp motor that apears to have the spark plug wire in the wrong location .It is comming out of the side of the recoil housing very close to the muffler.I believe that it should come out at the top of the cover at the cylinder head.Any Advice would be greatly helpful. Thanks

Answer
Hello Dan:

The Wire Should Come Out Above the Spark Plug. Remove the Blower Housing (metal Engine Cover) and Move the Wire to the Area where it is Above the Spark Plug. You Should See the Housing Area is Raised for the Wire to Exit from Under the Blower Housing and Not be Pinched when the Blower Housing is Attached to the Engine. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model (5 or 6 Digits) and Type Numbers (first 4 digits Only). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. You can View a Breakdown of the Mower at this Site Addy; http://www.jackssmallengines.net/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. The Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Ariens) and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please.
