Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray rider, blade switch, safety switches

Question
John,
I have read several of your previous posts regarding the safety switches and have attempted to fix my problems but with only partial success.  Problem 1; Bad Transaxle.  Action: Replaced with new unit and now operates fine in all gears.  Problem 2; Engine died whenever the clutch was released or blades were engaged.  Actions; 1. Seat bypass switch has been removed for two years now without any issues and doesnt appear to have any influence on current situation. I jumped the switch with no change in situation.  2. I also disconnected the clutch/brake switch and was then able to drive the rider without stalling the engine but no blade engagement.  3. I then disconnected the Blade switch but could not get the engine to even respond.  I reconnected the switch to the harness without repositioning it in place (as it is hard to reach) and the engine would still not even respond.
I don't know what to attempt at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, battery is new but I will recheck charge tonight.

Answer
Hello Matt:

Does this Mower have the Safety Interlock Relay? The Interlock Being Bad will Cause the Problem you Described. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.
