Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Chain saw, chain oiler, foam filter

Question
John;

I have a Sears chain saw model 358.355061 that I can not get the chain oiler to pump oil.I have cleaned the foam filter and checked the oil tube that goes to the chain.If you could explain how it pumps oil would be a big help.

Thanks,Bill.

Answer
Hello Bill:

Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. Select the Diagram for the Main Frame. Breakdown #19 is the Oil Pump (Metering Body). The Crankshaft Turns the Pump to Pump the Oil. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, then I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
