Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mccullough chain saw, chain oiler, question pool

Question
QUESTION: Greetings
I have a 3516 McCullough Chain saw, its about 10 years old and it runs great and starts on the first to second pull everytime. My question is after one day of trimming limbs I noticed that all the chainbar oil was coming out of this small hole just below the chain bar and it looks like something is missing as the hole has a brass bushing in it. There is not sign of breakage and hole is about 1/8 in size. Any ideas what has happened or what I am missing?

thanks

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. You May have to Scroll Down a Small Amount. Now Select the Model Tab. Now Select the OEM and Enter the Model and UT Numbers (example: 13-XXXXXXX) or the Model Numbers (3516) Only. You can Also Use the Product Tab if you are having Trouble Locating the Model/UT Numbers. From your Description, it Sounds like the Oiler Hose has Cracked at the Oiler and is Leaking Oil. Hello Again Paul:

I Just Saw your Pictures. The Brass is a Fitting that is a Part of the Chain Oiler System. Usually the Brass is Not Seen as the Saw Housing Covers it. If the Chain Hits the Housing as yours has Done, then the Fitting is Exposed and Most Times Damaged as yours Was. The Saw will have to be Disassembled and the Fitting Replaced. This was a Complaint with these Saws. The Chain Loosens and Catches the Fitting Support and Causes the Problem you are Having. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

ANSWER: Hi Paul:

Can you Locate the UT Numbers? I have 38 Different 3516 Saws on the Fiche and it would Help to Narrow it Down. Thanks.

QUESTION: Hi John
I have been looking at the saw and I am not sure what the ut numbers are but here is some info. It still has every sticker on it it even has the manufactur date sticker under the main handle 03/03/98 Model number is D600035-58
ser number 22-001657
Now there are numbers on some of the stickers like the started cover sticker has 46759-77 and the muffler side cover has 46759-78 and a little sticker above the primer bulb has 46704-59 and the chain brake handle has a sticker with 46703-41.

I hope this might help.

Thanks

Paul S.
