Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda self propelled problem, belt tension, arinet

Question
Hi John, i have the same problem as the person today.  My self propelled honda has gotten weaker and weaker to where it doesn't do much help at all.  The back wheels still spin some but not with the same power as before.  If I understand correctly it needs some type of adjusment.  My model number is HRR2163VXA.  I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Ralph:

Would this be a HRR216K3 VXA? If yes, then Remove the Belt Cover and Hold Tension on the Ground Drive. Is the Belt Tension Tight? This is a Single Speen Transmission and Is Either Engaged or Not. A Spring at the End of the Ground Drive Cable Pulls the Engaging Lever. Other then the Belt Slipping, you Could have Internal Transmission Problems or the Drive Gears for the Wheels can be Worn Also. If the Wheel Teeth Become Worn this Will Also Happen. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
