Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tecumseh lv195ea on lawn boy #10687, south central colorado, carbuerator

Question
I just bought a lawn boy #10687 with a Tecumseh LV195ea 4 cycle engine.  I live at 7500 ft in south central Colorado.  Should I re-jet the carbuerator, and if so, what jet/s should I replace?

Answer
Hello James:

If the Engine is Performing Well, then Leave it Alone. Most Carburetors will Operate Well at Altitudes less than 10,000 ft. Remember that an Engine is Like a Person in theat Each Engine has it Own Quirks. Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have a PDF Site Addy that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
