Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere GX75, crankcase breather, safety bars

Question
I have a John Deere GX75 with a Kawasaki rear engine.  Can I turn this mower on its side tochange the drive belt?

Thanks

Answer
Hello Silvester:

It is Always Best to Tilt a Mower so the Spark Plug is Pointing Upwards. The will Keep Oil Out of the Crankcase Breather and Carburetor. I Never Tilt the Mowers. I Drop the Deck and Replace the Drive Belt with the Mower Blocked On Stands, with Safety Bars Under the Frame. Doing the Job Safely and with No Damage to the New Part when Installing is the Only Way to Repair Equipment. It May take a Little Longer, but in the End the Results are Better. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
