Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna 5521CH, junk pile, plug hole

Question
I recently found one of these in a junk pile, and all it appeared to need was a back tire. The engine is a Honda 5.5 HP. It runs, but it appears to either idle too fast, or something is just plain broken. If I start it on the driveway it literally skates away. The handle vibrates to the point where I cant stand the thing. I also notice a faint "ringing" noise coming from the engine. I was wondering if I should just adjust the idle screw, or is there something broken?

Answer
Hello Kyle:

Due to the Vibration, you Need to Check the Blade and Crankshaft for Being Bent. Remove the Spark Plug. Tilt the Mower do the Plug Hole is Facing Upwards. Carefully Turn the Engine and Watch the Blade Bolt in the Center of the Blade. Does the Bolt Wobble when the Engine is Turned? If Yes, then the Crankshaft is Bent and is Most Likely the Reason the Mower was in the Junk Pile. The Bent Crankshaft can Also Cause the Slight Ringing in the Engine. Send me the Model and Type Numbers Off the Engine and the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
