Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro Snowblower belt change, drive pulley, assembly drawings

Question
I have a mid 70's Toro 524 snowblower, model 31625 with a tecumseh engine
It runs great but the belts have not been changed for many years
I'd like to change them but need some direction on how to do it. Can you give me some advice?
thanks

Answer
Hello Doug:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. The Only Belt to Replace is the Auger Drive Pulley. Has the Auger Been Stalling of Stopping when Under a Load? If No, Then Look at the Auger Drive Belt. If it Looks in Good Condition and is Not Losing Chunks or is Cracked, then Leave it Alone. My Dad has 1 of these and it Still has the Original Belt and Drive Disc. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
