Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S, murray mower, fuel tanks

For some odd reason my Murray Mower B&S 6.5 HP mower started leaking gas around at what appears to be the gas tank. This is a first. I've used it before earlier mowing the back yard without a problem, left to purchase gas, returned and then filled it to the front yard. At first I thought I overfilled it. It leaks from the back of the tank where it attaches to the engine. Is this a seal or gasket problem?

How old is the mower?  Recently, we have found several Briggs fuel tanks that are developing cracks in the inner seam near the corners of the fuel tanks.

If you mower is less than 2 yeas old take it to a Briggs dealer and request the tank be replaced.
