Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 22mower emitting white smoke and oil from muffler, briggs stratton, head gasket

Question
Hi,
I have a Briggs & Stratton mower that for some reason today started to emit white smoke and some oil from the muffler on the left of the engine when I fired it up. Before this it was running fine with no issues. It is only 5 months old.
It is also losing power when it is running and does not sound as smooth as the last time I used it which was about 10 days ago. It gets stored in the shed so no issue with being left out. I checked the oil level and that's fine, petrol was refilled to full as always before I start to mow.
I am lost! Help please?
thanks

Answer
Hello Richard:

Is this an OHV Engine? If Yes, If the Engine Oil Level is Proper and has No Gas Smell; then the Head gasket May be Blown Between the Valve Push Tubes and the Cylinder. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
