Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas tank leak, riding lawn mower, lt1000

Question
I own a Lt1000 riding lawn mower and have a leak at the seam of the gas tank. Is there anyway to repair this or do I have to replace the tank??

Answer
Hello Ross:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. I Do Not Suggest you Repair a Gas Tank, However over the Years there have been Better Products to Repair Tanks that Perform Better (in some cases) than Others. If you Want to Repair the Gas Tank and Can Do So Safely, then there are Several Different Way for Doing a Seam Repair. This Depends on the Composite of the Tank and the Model of the Mower it is Located on. The Model Information and the Composite of the Tank are Required for me to Instruct you on the Best Method of Repair (if any). On Some Models the Tank Locations Does Not Allow for Any Repairs. Thanks.
