Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Brakes on John Deer RX95 Mower, john deer, power train

Question
Brakes work going forward but in reverse the brakes do no engage. How can I fix this problem? Thanks

Answer
Hello Paul:

Try Adjusting the Brake Pads. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Select Power Train, Steering and Brakes. Now Select the Transaxle File. The Brake Assembly is Breakdown #s 35 thru 44. Breakdown #44 is the Adjusting Nut. Snug the Brake Adjuster and then Reverse 1/2 Turn. Make Minor Adjustments if Required. Check the PAds. They May Require Replacing. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
