Trying to put a v belt on a craftsman 917.273061 garden tractor. manual does not help.

I could not keep up with all the questions..I get so many that why it maxed out most of the time.  Many of the experts no longer volunteer due to the shear number of questions.

I responded back to your questions seeking more information but you have not replied.  Do you have a personal email address?  You can mark the answer as private so no one will see you address but I do not have the same option.

In response to your question, I would use the owner's manual to remove the deck.  Once the deck is off you have to remove the belt guards and guides to install the belt.  If the belt came off and you do not know how to install it you can "read" the pulleys.  V shaped pulleys should have the V portion of the belt in the groove.  Flat pulleys should have the back or flat portion of the belt positioned so the back or flat side of the belt rides on the pulley.
