Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas leak on Briggs and Straton, retainer ring, gas additives

Question
I have a gas leak on a Briggs and Straton around the bulb?  Why and what do I do to fix.

Answer
Hello Jean:

Most Times it is the Gas Additives that Weakens the Rubber Bulb. Purchase a Replacement Bulb. Carefully Pry Out the Primer Bulb Retainer Ring at the Base of the Bulb. A New Retainer Ring Comes with the New Bulb. Make Sure the New Bulb is Seated Properly and the Retainer Ring is in Place Correctly (No Air Leaks). The Other Style Bulb is Bolted in Place. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
