Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Huskee Riding Mower, huskee mower, model numbers

The belts on my Huskee were worn and one broke.  I got new belts and now when I engage the mower the deck belt rips. What did I do wrong? It is a Huskee mower and the model # is 13A8693G131 4497526   Is there a repair manual available?

Hello Roger:

From your Description, it Sounds like you have the Belt on the Outside of One of the Belt Guards. The Belt Guards Keep the Belt from Jumping Off when the Belt is Disengaged and Has Slack in it. You May have the Belt Routing Wrong. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Mower at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (MTD) and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View.
