Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Poulan 34cc engine leak, arinet, oil mixture

Question
QUESTION: I have a Poulan 3416 Chainsaw with a 34cc engine. It starts and runs fine except a lot of smoke coming from the engine and small amount of gas/oil mixture. It seems to be coming from the engine head where there is a small bead of gasket going around the metal area.

ANSWER: Hello Felix:

Check the Jug/Cylinder Bolts. They May be Loose or the Jug/Cylinder Gasket May be Blown. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram and Select the Catalog Poulan/Weed Eater. Then Select Poulan. Then Select Chainsaw. Then Select Gas. Then Select the 3400 File. Then Select Engine Assembly. The Gasket is Breakdown # 50 and the Bolts are Breakdown # 52. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Answer
Hello Again Felix:

I Just Left this Site Addy for Poulan; http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram or You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Saw at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
