Hi, recently I hit a clump of grass and my mower stopped and hasn't started since.  Do you have any ideas as to what the problem is?  I read something about a flywheel key and the Toro but the owners manuals for my mower don't show this key.  Could there be another problem?

The flywheel key is in the engine manual not the mower manual.  If you pull the rope and the pull handle yanks out of your hand you have a sheared flywheel key.

Take it to a dealer.  If you have to ask these questions you are in too deep.  The repair will be about 1/2 hour labor and the key will cost about a buck.
