Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Riding mower, craftsman riding mower, riding lawn mower

My dad gave me his 42 cut riding lawn mower but the deck and blade wont engage the deck wont go down and the blade wont engage the mower was just serviced last month? any Idea what i can look for?

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. There are Many Different Models and Types of Lift Systems and Blade Engagement Systems on the Sears Mowers Depending on Which OEM (MTD, AYP, ect) Produced the Mower for Sears. Thanks.
