Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 26 hp 54 in. Deck, DYS 4500 Yard Tractor, sears store, mail tomorrow

Question

Hey bud I just bought a new Craftsman 26 hp 54 in. Deck, DYS 4500 Yard Tractor. Took me over an hour to get to the sears store I needed to get to.

Question is, do you know of any sites that might have the step by step illustrations of hooking the Deck up? It basically looks like the Husky I took back (PTO problems Tech guy that came out couldn’t even fix it so I returned it for this Craftsman)

Wasn’t till I got home till I opened the box and realized no Owners manual.

IF it’s off the same husky production line I basically remember it. If not I'll have to wait because sears is putting my owners manual in the snail mail tomorrow.

One more thing, the Kohler Pro's their making only for craftsmen aren’t cheap Koehler’s are they?

I would hope Kohler wouldn’t take the chance of tainting there good reputation just to fill some craftsman orders..

Thanks John..

Answer
Hello Wade:

Will a Breakdown of the Deck Lift Help. You can See the Deck to Lift Connection Points Really Well. You will Need the Sears Model Number that is Located Under the Seat Itself or Under the Seat on the Frame. It is an XXX.XXXXXX Number. Then Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. As for the Engine, No Worries. Kohler has Not Produced a Cheap Engine for this Mower. I have had Minor Complaints and they have Been Mostly a Bad Connection at the Safety Switches. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
