Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda GCV160 engine on power washer, honda gcv160 engine, throttle shaft

Question
QUESTION: I just purchased a new carburetor for my Honda Engine GCV160 ($20 new vs about $45+ to buy all the parts separately to rebuild). But, I've forgotten how the linkage all connects back up. I knew I should have snapped a photo but actually thought I'd remember this time. My bad.

Can anyone please provide a diagram or photo of all the linkage and the carburetor so I can get this thing running again? I'm sorry I have to ask, but not sure what else to do.

Thanks so much.

Jonah

ANSWER: Hello Jonah:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram and Select the Catalog American Honda. Now Select the Engine File. Now Scroll to your Model and Select it. Now Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View. Here is an Explaination of How the Carburetor Hook Up Works. It May Help. **The Throttle Cable Attaches to the Throttle Control Bracket. The Cable Moves a Slide that Moves a Piviot. The Piviot has the Spring  Attached to it and to the Governor Arm. The Solid Link Connects to the Governor Arm and goes to the Throttle Shaft on the Carburetor.  When the Throttle Cable is Moved it Moves the Piviot and the Piviot Pulls the Spring. The Spring Pulls the Governor Arm and the Governor Arm Moves the Throttle Shaft.**  Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck

QUESTION: John,

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Great resources you linked me to. The diagrams don't actually show the linkage and where it connects, but I think with the further instructions you gave me I should be able to connect it - hopefully anyway. Thanks agin for your help! I plan to work on this Friday morning. Many thanks!
