Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Cracked primer bulb--IDC Cultivator Model 400-1, screw driver, hose assemblies

Question
1. Where can I order a replacement primer bulb?
2. Am I missing seeing a sliding retainer clip to take it   apart?
3. How are the two hose assemblies loosened?
3a. Are the hoses press fitted, certainly not glued?
4. Can the old hose assemblies be re-attached to the Bulb?
I'd rather pay to have it done but repair places are far and few and new entrants to repair work these days haven't done their homework to earn title of qualified repairman. This 81 year old, long retired shop teacher, is too aware that youngsters aren't getting good instruction nor held to high standards in today's schools.

Answer
Hello Al:

You Got that Straight. The Student are Not Getting the Instruction, Nor are they Held to the Standards you and I had when we were Schooling. The Primer is Held in Place 2 Ways. 1 is by a Retainer Clip at the Base of the Primer Bulb and can be Removed by Using a Standard (flat) Screw Driver and Carefully Prying the Ring Out of the Bulb Recess. The Other Way is a Cap with Screws Holding the Bulb in Place. Most Small Engine Service Center Carry the Primer Bulb. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. However, you can Try this Site Addy,  http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ or you can Call them @ 1-877-707-2787. The Hoses can be Reused. Sometimes you have to Cut the End to have a Tight Fit, but Most Times you can Twist the Old Hose Back and Forth and Remove it so it can Be Replaced Without Cutting the End. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
